Amari Noelle Speaks On The Chi, BMF Audition, Being A Lover Girl, Growing Up In Indiana, & More!
Amari Noelle Ferguson, upcoming singer, songwriter, and actress hailing from Gary, Indiana, also home to The Jackson Family, has graced her presence at Everything Hip Hop Daily.
With a musical background, Amari seamlessly transitions between acting and singing. She has released her own sultry R&B tracks that showcase her smooth vocals, while also owning her character as Britney on Showtime's The Chi, which debuted in its sixth season. Remaining consistent with her music, Amari has been dropping projects back-to-back since 2022, catching the eye of Lena Waithe, the creator of The Chi, who brought Amari onto the show where she's been able to debut her range of talents. Fans of the show are already drawn to "The Lover Girl" for her sensuality, confidence, wit, charisma, and musical expertise - and it's an added bonus that she plays the sister of Bakari, both in real life and on the screen.
Growing up in a family of creatives, with her mom as a gospel singer and her brother an actor, it's no surprise that Amari's name is synonymous with greatness. She began her musical career creating songs with iMovie, publishing them to SoundCloud under her college radio name, Million$$Maddy. It wasn't until 2022 that she gained major traction, debuting her single "Unusual" which sampled Trey Songz' 2010 hit "Unusual" and Luniz' 1995 smash "I Got 5 On It". Fast forward to 2024, and Amari has her new single "Giddy Up" out now, with more projects in the works.
