Atlanta's 15th Annual ONE MusicFest: A Memorable Celebration of Music and Culture

Atlanta’s 15th annual ONE Musicfest in Central Park has officially wrapped.

The festival commenced on Saturday, October 26th, featuring an impressive lineup that included prominent artists such as Latto, Earth, Wind & Fire, Nelly, Fantasia, DJ Drama, Method Man & Redman, among many others. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities, with pop-up experiences from Mielle, Charmin, and Proctor & Gamble, where they provided product samples. BEVEL, one of the festival's sponsors, also hosted a pop-up offering complimentary haircuts, highlighting their grooming products. Various spirits, including Hennessy, BeatBox, Don Julio, RedBull, and Jack Daniels, contributed to the lively atmosphere by providing mixed tastings. The food vendors offered a wide range of options, from Jamaican dishes to vegan choices, ensuring a diverse culinary experience for all attendees.

On the first day of performances, the festival encountered some technical issues but ultimately delivered an unforgettable experience for fans. At the P&G stage, the show opened with performances by Jai’len Josey, Akeem Ali, Tanner Adell, and Big X The Plugg. Around midday, singer Fridayy took the stage, captivating the audience with his vibrant energy. Shortly thereafter, Method Man and Redman electrified the crowd with their classic East Coast style. Ari Lennox, despite facing sound challenges, delivered a soulful R&B performance that resonated with the audience, concluding her set on a high note.

When Nelly took the stage, he showed up and showed out! Performing in Atlanta, he invited the legendary Jermaine Dupri, along with fellow St. Louis artists Chingy, the St. Lunatics, and Jkwon, to join him. The new dad gave nothing but energy his entire set.

Originally, Cardi B was scheduled to close the first night; however, due to hospitalization days prior, she was unable to perform. In her place, DJ Drama energized the crowd by bringing out special guests Jeremih and 2 Chainz, creating an exhilarating atmosphere before Latto took the stage to deliver a powerful closing performance.

On the second day of Atlanta's premier music festival, the lineup featured an impressive array of artists, including Plies, Dru Hill, T.I., DJ Mars, Koryn Hawthorne, Leon Thomas, and others. At the P&G stage, there were some last-minute adjustments as Sexyy Red withdrew from the performance. However, to maintain the festival's energy, ONE MusicFest swiftly secured a replacement in rapper Hunxho, who delighted the audience with an unexpected appearance. Following his set, Glorilla took the stage, delivering exactly what her fans anticipated. The Memphis-born rapper invited T-Pain as a special guest, and together they performed their latest single, "I LUV HER," along with several of T-Pain's popular tracks.

When Victoria Monet took to the stage, she was fully aware of her mission. With her stunning visuals, impressive dance routines, and powerful vocals, Victoria exemplified how the 'Party Girls' command the stage. The festival concluded with performances from Jill Scott at the Sprite stage and Gunna at the P&G stage. This presented a dilemma for fans, as they were torn between two extraordinary artists. Nevertheless, Jill Scott captivated the audience with her powerful vocal delivery on the Sprite stage, while Gunna, dressed in a striking outfit featuring studded pants, showcased his vibrant personality and dynamic raps to wrap up the evening at the P&G stage.

ONE MusicFest was a remarkable event that left a lasting impression on both attendees and the cultural landscape. It served as a splendid occasion to unite individuals and honor the music that binds us collectively.
