Superstar rapper, father, and sneaker mogul Kanye West has an upcoming documentary based on the trajectory of his life. The new documentary will be accompanied by a podcast as well. According to HipHopHero ‘We Need To Talk About Kanye West’ will air on BBC Two and will be hosted by investigative journalist, Mobeen Azhar. In the 8 part podcast series, The Kanye story will feature special guests to help guide viewers and fans, providing them with West’ behavior and factors that have resulted from the world’s backlash and criticism in recent years. As the documentary started gaining traction, negative commentary of the 45-year-old rapper hit the news.
The ‘We Need To Talk About Kanye’ documentary was postponed in the month of October 2022. At the time, the horrific remarks of the Jewish community and his admiration for Adolf Hitler ruined multiple of his business collabs hence having Variety make a statement about the ordeal. According to the publication they stated, “This morning, after discussion with our filmmakers and distribution partners, we made the decision not to proceed with any distribution for our recently completed documentary about Kanye West.” Although MRC Entertainment stated to Variety “We cannot support any content that amplifies his platform”, there was a change of heart causing the company to later move on with production.
Admitting the drama, the rapper also announced his admiration claiming he “liked Hitler” when appearing on Alex Jones’ show ‘Infowars' last December. Love him or hate him, fans are still in support of the talented yet controversial rapper and will still have fans tuning into his newest documentary in the months to come.
