SZA To Debut ‘SOS’ Deluxe With 10 Brand New Tracks

February 24th, 2023

SZA is no stranger when it comes to surprising her fans with new music or with  interesting events she has next such as going on tour. Following up to her sophomore album, SOS, premiering at no.1 on the Billboard 200 identical album units, the singer plans to continue the momentum of that moment with adding 10 deluxe tracks. When the pop star releases her deluxe tracks, she vows that she is going to “start being kinder to herself.” Since the debut of SOS, SZA is thankful for the achievement it’s had since it first came out in December. With SZA’s album going certified platinum by the RIAA with singles such as “Kill Bill,” “Blind” and “I Hate U”, the outline of the singles was anticipated to spend its 10th week reigning on the chart starting next week.

In an interview, Billboard questioned SZA if it is important for her to be recognized outside of the R&B space. She answered, “To even be in the conversation with Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus, even the fact that our fans are fighting is ridiculous because it’s like, how?! I just really appreciate the opportunity to be in that conversation at all.” Due to the success of SOS, SZA will headline her first-ever arena tour. When asked how she felt about it by the interviewer, SZA responded, “It’s interesting because my other shows were intimate, and I felt like people were really coming to see me. I know certain people are just coming to see what the hype is about, and that makes me nervous,” said SZA.

Pumped to start off her tour, the singer expressed, “I am deeply excited to pop ass and cry and give theater.” The ‘Kill Bill’ singer wants the experience for her fans to feel like a play on Broadway. SZA desires her show to replicate a therapy session for her most dedicated fans. “I’m looking forward to actually feeling proud of myself and not just smiling and nodding at accolades but really feeling it internally and knowing that I'm good enough” says the R&B singer.
